Data Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026

This page explains how Kineta handles data retention, account deletion, and deletion requests. It supports the Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.

1. Retention Principles

  • Kineta keeps data only for as long as needed to provide the service, protect users, meet legal obligations, and support billing, accounting, security, and dispute handling.
  • Data that is no longer needed should be deleted, anonymized, or aggregated where practical.
  • Some records may remain in backups, logs, app stores, billing providers, diagnostics providers, or legal/accounting archives for a limited period.
  • Trainer-entered client records may be controlled by the trainer as part of their business records and may require separate handling.

3. Account Deletion

You can request account deletion in the Kineta app or by contacting info@kineta.app.

When an account is deleted, Kineta deletes or detaches account data according to the app's deletion workflow. This can include account tokens, profile records, profile images, user-owned notes, trainer-owned groups and sessions, and trainer-managed member records where applicable.

Some data may remain for limited periods where required or permitted, including backup copies, billing and invoice records, tax or accounting records, fraud prevention records, security logs, legal records, support records, and data stored by third-party providers under their own retention rules.

4. Deleting Content and Data Requests

Where app features allow it, users can delete notes, images, notifications, sessions, groups, payment tracking records, or other content. Some shared content may remain visible to other users if they have their own lawful reason to keep it or if deletion would affect another user's records.

Content reports, block records, moderation snapshots, review notes, security logs, and abuse-prevention records may be retained after the original content or account changes when needed for user safety, dispute handling, enforcement, legal compliance, or platform compliance.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or consent withdrawal. Contact info@kineta.app and include the email address associated with your Kineta account.

5. Backups, Providers, and Contact

Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups or provider systems for a limited period until those systems rotate or expire. Providers such as app stores, RevenueCat, Sentry, Expo, email providers, storage providers, and transcription providers may keep records under their own retention policies and legal obligations.
